Happy Easter everyone! I have a new “find” to show you.
Reluctantly, yesterday I was dragged to the mall by my son who remembered that days earlier I had promised to take him. I hoped he would forget but, of coursed he did not. Don’t get me wrong, I love to shop…I really love to shop. I do not like to shop on the weekend when you are shoulder to shoulder with people. I just don’t like crowds….I think that comes with age because it never bothered me before…just kind of crept up on me. Take me early on a Monday to the mall and I could shop for hours. Ok well here is where the story gets good. Since we were experiencing a spring like day (it was almost 50 degrees). I decided to take a more scenic route to the mall and found myself at a yard sale where I found a little gem of a lamp. This lamp was a upcycled silver plated teapot that someone turned into a light. I scored it for 5.00. I’m thinking of pairing it with a red and tan gingham shade or possibly a barn red punched tin shade I found on line. Now of course I’ve got it in my head that I can duplicated this idea. So I will be on the lookout the next time I go to a sale for something I can repurpose into a lamp. I’m really loving my new lamp!
